Connecting individuals to physical activity in the NDIS
This course will inform you about the many options, benefits and impacts of physical activity and how you can help individuals with disability get involved so that they can participate in the community, build their capacity and reach their goals.
As part of this course, you will be given practical tools and tips plus you will hear valuable experiences and advice from individuals with disability and service providers.
Ultimately this course builds your confidence to support NDIS plan participants to access sport and active recreation activities and supports through their NDIS plan or other supports.
At the completion of this course, you will:
Understand the pathways and opportunities in sport and active recreation for people with disability.
Communicate the barriers, motivations, and benefits of participating in sport and active recreation for people with disability.
Understand your role in supporting NDIS participants to access sport and active recreation opportunities and supports.
Identify ways to connect NDIS participants to sport and active recreation providers.
