Disability Sports Australia

Disability Sports Australia Logo

Disability Sports Australia (DSA) is a national not-for-profit and registered charity focused on increasing grassroots sport participation for people with disability.

For over 60 years, we’ve been at the forefront of disability sport in Australia — originally through wheelchair sport and our role as the national peak body for sport for people with physical disability.

Today, we are disability-agnostic, working across all disability types to expand access, strengthen inclusion, and support sport to be a space where everybody belongs.

We build the capability of the sport sector — helping clubs, schools, governments, and sporting bodies remove barriers and create environments where people with disability can participate meaningfully, both on and off the field.

Through practical programs, strong partnerships, and evidence-informed tools, we drive social change from the grassroots to the broader sport system.

Our work is guided by people with lived experience and focused on long-term impact — so every person with disability can find their place in sport.
