ASAPD and Dentons renew strategic legal partnership in 2026 to support disability sport organisations nationwide

The Australian Sporting Alliance for People with Disability (ASAPD) has renewed its strategic partnership with global law firm Dentons for 2026, reinforcing a shared commitment to inclusive sport and active recreation across Australia.

Under the agreement, Dentons will continue to provide legal support to ASAPD and its eight affiliated National Sporting Organisations for People with Disability members across a broad range of legal issues, including governance, charity law and taxation, intellectual property, employment, safeguarding, risk management, integrity and conduct matters.

ASAPD CEO, Dr Phil Hamdorf, said the partnership had delivered meaningful value for the organisation and its members.

Its affiliated National Sporting Organisations for People with Disability are Blind Sports Australia, Boccia Australia, Deaf Sports Australia, Disabled Wintersport Australia, Riding for the Disabled Australia, Special Olympics Australia, Sport Inclusion Australia, and Transplant Australia.
