Australian Sporting Alliance for People with a Disability partners with Kismet to boost access and participation

  • Media Release

The Australian Sporting Alliance for People with a Disability (ASAPD) has partnered with Kismet Healthcare to strengthen access to disability, health and participation opportunities for people with disability across Australia.

Kismet is an online platform that helps National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants find and connect with a wide range of verified disability and healthcare service providers, making it easier to discover supports, programs and activities that match their needs and goals.

ASAPD is the national peak alliance for sport and active recreation for people with disability, bringing together Australia’s leading disability sport organisations to create more inclusive and accessible opportunities to be active, from grassroots participation through to high performance.

ASAPD CEO Dr Phil Hamdorf said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to inclusion and connection.

“By partnering with Kismet, we are making it easier for people with disability to find the right supports and the right opportunities to get active, stay healthy and connect with their communities,” Dr Hamdorf said. “It’s a practical step that will help more people discover inclusive sport and recreation options that work for them.”

Through this partnership, ASAPD and Kismet will work together to connect more people with disability to inclusive sport, recreation and community opportunities, while also promoting providers and programs that champion accessibility and inclusion. By combining ASAPD’s national sport and activity network with Kismet’s digital platform and provider ecosystem, the partnership will help more people find the right supports to get active, stay healthy and engage in their communities.
